HOW DO I APPLY FOR PRE-K?

 

Make sure you select the correct year you are applying for!!

To apply online, parents will visit www.applytolppsearlychildhood.com and first create an account. The portal is currently open until April 1, 2024 for the 2023-2024 school year.  This online application portal will not open to allow for applications to be submitted for 2024-2025 until Feb. 1, 2024.

The online application (SchoolMint) can be submitted through a computer, smart phone or tablet.  Required documents can be uploaded directly from the phone or tablet's camera roll or a saved file from the computer.

Parents/Guardians will have to create an account before beginning the application.  They may save and exit the application if they need to complete it at a later date.  (Make sure you finish a complete page before exiting the application.)

Parents/Guardians will get to select and apply to two (2) schools.  All first choices (#1) will be the child's home-based school.  If the child's home-based school does not have a Pre-K class, the parent/guardian may select two (2) other schools.  The following schools will not have a regular Pre-K class in 2024-2025:  Eastside, Freshwater, and North Live Oak.

Eligible applications will be placed in the lottery after each round has closed.  2024-2025 Round 1 applicants will be notified of their status through SchoolMint the week of May 20, 2024.  After that, results will be released periodically as applications are submitted if spots are still available.

*Please note that we only have 600 total Pre-K spots.  Once they are filled, eligible children will be placed on the waitlist and will be notified if a spot becomes available.
