Sorry We're CLOSED.JPG
The application portal is now CLOSED. It will reopen for Round 3 on June 25th and will remain open throughout the school year.  Many of our schools did fill in Round 1, however, by submitting an application we can determine if your child is eligible to be placed on a waitlist or could be offered a seat at a school that may not be filled.

Your child must be 4 years old on or before Sept. 30, 2025.

IMPORTANT FOR CHILDREN WHO WERE OFFERED AND ACCEPTED THEIR PRE-K SEAT

Please refer to the email you were sent when your offer was accepted.  To find all communications sent to you, log in to your   applytolppsearlychildhood.schoolmint.com account and click MESSAGES at the top.

You must now register your child with the school system.  You will create a parent account if you do not already have one, then log in and complete the process.  If you have a parent PowerSchool account for another child, you should be able to add your accepted Pre-K child to your account to complete the registration process. You will be contacted by the school if there are any questions about your submission.  You do not need to call to complete the process as stated in PowerSchool.

Questions about the PowerSchool registration should be directed to the school.

YOUR PRE-K CHILD WILL NOT BE ENROLLED IN OUR PUBLIC SCHOOL SYSTEM IF YOU COMPLETE THE REGISTRATION PROCESS THROUGH POWERSCHOOL WITHOUT APPLYING FOR PRE-K AND BEING ACCEPTED THROUGH THE LOTTERY.

The Louisiana Policy Institute for Children is conducting an annual survey of child care providers in Louisiana. The survey is being conducted in partnership with the Child Care Association of Louisiana, For Providers by Providers, Louisiana Association of the Education of Young Children, Louisiana Association of United Ways, and resource and referral agencies across the state.

Participation in this survey will help with understanding the current issues facing early childhood education providers in Louisiana. Findings from the survey will help make the case for more support for the sector.

All early childhood education providers that serve children under age 5 are encouraged to complete this survey, including Type I, II, and III providers; family child care; in-home providers; and family, friend, and neighbor child care providers. Survey participants will have the option to enter a raffle for a $100 Amazon gift card (one entry per person).

Providers may complete the 2025 Provider Survey online in English, Spanish (Español), or Vietnamese (Tiếng Việt). The survey will open on Wednesday, June 4th, and responses are requested by Wednesday, June 18th. For any questions, please contact info@policyinstitutela.org.

Please go to the "MORE" tab to find the supply lists by school.  Click the name of the school your child will be attending for Pre-K to find the Pre-K supply list.
NOTE: You should only use this list if you were notified that your child was being offered a Pre-K seat that you accepted.

The 2025/2026 supply lists will be published by the end of June.
